毛喉鞘蕊花 Coleus forskohlii。草本,直立或上升,高约40厘米。茎粗壮,具四棱及四槽,分枝,被长柔毛。在上部较密。叶卵圆形,顶端钝或急尖,基部骤楔形下延成柄,边缘具圆齿,近肉质,两面密被绒毛及柔毛;叶柄长6-15毫米,密被柔毛。轮伞花序由6-10花组成,多数排列成总状花序,总状花序长约2.3-10厘米;苞片卵圆形,长约8毫米,宽约7毫米,顶端尾状急尖,边缘具缘毛,外面被微柔毛,在开花时脱落;萼钟形,长约6毫米,喉部内面密被长柔毛,5齿,后齿大,心形,顶端短尖,余4齿近三角形,先端钻状渐尖,在果时常增大且下弯;花冠紫蓝色,长约1.2-1.5厘米,外面被稀疏的腺点,花冠管向下弯,向喉部逐渐增大宽至3.5毫米,冠檐二唇形,上唇4浅裂,裂片不相等,下唇延长,长圆形,舟状;雄蕊4,内藏或稍外露,花丝在中部以下合生成鞘状;花柱外伸。小坚果圆形,压扁。花期9月。
